Transom with quiver

LS 4232

Date : XVIIIe | Medium : Wrought iron

Brussels(?)

This elegant transom was placed above a doorway to illuminate a hallway. A frame with concave corners and decorated with ovals contains the central medallion amid foliated scrolls which culminate below in roses. The quiver and bow are tied by a ribbon in an image commonly used in the eighteenth century.
